Azusa GMR
I woke up late and missed gerry’s call to go ride azusa, they wanted to go at 730am! So i decided to go anyways since the day seems clear and nice. Suited up, got my gopro and went. Such a nice day! and not that many other bikers on the road since i was late, nor cars. I went up azusa canyon to the top, saw some military looking trucks pull out and decided to head down. Went up GMR on the backside, and came down the front. By the time i got up to the top of GMR, i was pretty tired, havent been riding in a long time. Started loosing concentration and my lines got all wacky. All good though, made it down safely and rode home in time for another photoshoot with my friends. Good day in all.
I’m switching out the sound in these videos because they sound terrible. I guess the go-pro cam was knocking against the headlight where i was mounting it. Gotta figure out a better mounting solution.
Had an epic trip to decker canyon last night, by epic, i mean epic fail. LionZoo and I came up with the idea to take some photos of the car in motion at the hairpins at the entrance to decker. While the photos turned out amazing, the trip ended in disaster when LionZoo picked up a peice of wire that punctured his tire on the last shoot. Since rx8s don’t come with spares, and the tire gunk we’re supplied with totally destroys the tire, we ended up having to drive back all the way to the 626 from malibu, pickup a tire, and come back to malibu. When we got back it was 3am already. Needless to say we were beyond tired, changing tires at 3am is not fun at all.

Angeles Crest Highway is one of my favourite backroads in and around los angeles. Before the fire i used to visit every weekend, but every since the fires, the rain and subsequent mudslides have forced Cal trans to shut down the road. Recently the rear section of the road is once again open, and accessible by taking a slightly longer route around. This is exactly what we did.
